Report Symptoms of Methane Gas Exposure
On July 31, 2017, SoCalGas resumed injections of methane gas into the Aliso Canyon Gas Storage facility. Immediately afterward, the Fence Line Monitoring system detected a doubling of the amount of methane gas leaking from the storage facility. Alarmingly, we also heard from the Department of Public Health that many residents were reporting symptoms of gas leak exposure once again, including headaches, nosebleeds, shortness of breath, drowsiness, nausea, and confusion.
